Hosta Brutus will form a large upright mound of 90-160 cm in height, with a spread of up to 170cm at maturity. Hosta Brutus was registered in 2007. It has large, heart-shaped, almost oval leaves, with a glossy coat, and strongly wavy edges. The leaves grow on long stems and remain flat for a long time. The tops of the leaves are glossy. The leaves are moderately corrugated. Purple flowers appear in July to August on long green scapes of up to 130cm tall. Hosta Brutus looks particularly beautiful in a display pot. Leaves of good substance make this one slug resistant too.
