Hosta Tatooine will form a medium-sized mound, reaching a height of 30 cm to 40 cm and a spread of up to 65 cm at maturity. The Hosta features dark green leaves with a wide yellowish-green border that maintains its colour for most of the summer. As the season progresses, the edges turn white and centres are green with some blue streaking, with some grey where the centre meets the white edge. Lavender flowers emerge on scapes up to 75 cm tall, beginning in July and continuing into August. Hosta Tatooine thrives in semi-shade to full shade conditions and does not tolerate significant sunlight. Tatooine named after a planet from a galaxy far far away from the Star Wars films.
