Hosta Granary Gold forms a substantial, upright mound reaching 45cm-50cm in height with a spread of up to 150cm at maturity. This plant produces a mound of rich golden leaves that emerge yellow gold in the spring and maintain their colour throughout summer before turning chartreuse in August. Notably, it becomes particularly vibrant during the twilight period between sunset and darkness. Almost white to pale lavender flowers appear on short 60cm scapes in July, persisting until early August. This plant is a striking addition to any garden, often drawing attention and inquiries. It thrives in evening sunlight and, although registered as a medium-sized plant, it can grow quite large.
