Hosta Stained Glass will form a mound of 50cm-60cm in height and spread up to 90cm at maturity. It is a sport of Hosta Guacamole, distinguished by its brighter gold centre. The yellow leaves with dark green margins create a fabulous colour contrast. The prominent veins throughout the leaf give this Hosta, a stained glass window effect from early in the season. This Hosta has highly scented, almost white, flowers on 75cm scapes that bloom in July and August. It is sun tolerant. It was recognised as the American Hosta Growers Association Hosta of The Year in 2006 and received the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
